The John M. McKay Scholarship Program is a school choice program exclusive to Florida. It allows parents of students with disabilities to choose the academic setting that is best for their child's educational needs. Eligible students may attend a participating private school, another public school in their home district, or a public school in a neighboring district if space is available.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must:

  • be currently enrolled in a Florida public school
  • be enrolled and counted in the October and February FTE survey weeks for the year prior to which you are applying
  • be enrolled in grades K-12
  • have an active Individual Education Plan or Section 504 Accomodation Pla
